González Anchorage ( Spanish Tenedero González ) is a natural harbor in the group of Duroch Islands off the Trinity Peninsula in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located on the west side of Kopaitic Island .
Participants of the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) mapped the bay and named it after the expedition leader Ernesto González Navarrete. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1964.
