Gordon (noble family)
Von Gordon is the name of a Prussian noble family of Scottish origin.
The Prussian Gordon are a branch of the Clan Gordon , an old Scottish noble family ( clan ) with former headquarters in Gordon at Greenlaw in Berwickshire , which is documented to have since the end of the 12th century and its direct parent row with Sir Adam Gordon begins in documents mentioned in 1305, Landlord on Strathbogie and Justiciar of County Lothian .

A member of a branch of the Gordon clan, the Gordons of Coldwell , named John Gordon immigrated to Poland in 1716 . His son Joseph von Gordon , later royal Prussian lieutenant colonel , received Prussian confirmation of his descent from the Scottish aristocratic family in Stargard on October 20, 1760 .
