Franz Adolf von Gordon

Franz Adolf Theobald Julius von Gordon (born October 14, 1865 on Gut Polish-Konopath, Schwetz district , West Prussia ; † June 15, 1942 at Laskowitz Castle, Rosenberg district , West Prussia) was a Prussian landowner and politician.

Franz Adolf von Gordon came from an old Scottish noble family with an ancestral house of the same name in the county of Berwickshire , which has been documented since the end of the 12th century and whose direct lineage began in 1305. John Gordon came to Poland in 1716 and his son Joseph von Gordon received confirmation of the Prussian nobility in 1760.

Franz Adolf von Gordon was the son of the member of the Reichstag Franz August von Gordon . Life

Gordon studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1887 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . He became a royal Prussian cavalry captain , entertainer at Gut Laskowitz, knight of honor of the Order of St. John and for the landowners of South Pomerellen from 1898 to 1918 a member of the Prussian mansion for life.
