Gordon H. Dunn

Gordon H. Dunn (* 1932 in Montpelier ( Idaho )) is an American physicist .

Dunn received his BS in 1955 and his PhD in Physics from the University of Washington in 1961 . He was initially an NRC Fellow at the National Bureau of Standards until 1962 . From 1962 to 2002 Dunn was active at the University of Colorado at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics (JILA). In 1970 he became a Fellow of the American Physical Society .

One area of ​​research was to develop experimental techniques for studying electron-ion collisions, for which he received the Davisson-Germer Prize in 1984.
