Gordon Hoffmann (born December 31, 1978 in Perleberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He is a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament and Secretary General of the Brandenburg CDU .

education and profession

Gordon Hoffmann attended the Polytechnische Oberschule up to the 7th grade and in 1992 switched to comprehensive school II in Wittenberge. He then completed an apprenticeship as a central heating and ventilation engineer . From 1999 to 2001 he did military service with the NBC defense battalion in Höxter.

From November 1999 to May 2000 he took part in the humanitarian operation of the Bundeswehr in Kosovo. After completing his military service, he attended the Prignitz community college. He then began studying at a technical college in the field of social pedagogy , which he completed in 2005. He then took up a degree in social work at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences .

Gordon Hoffmann is single and lives in Wittenberge , Prignitz district.

Political activity

In the local politics of prignitz Gordon Hoffmann committed since 2004. From 2005 to 2008 he was Chairman of the District Association of the Young Union Prignitz. From 2006 he was a member of the state board of the Junge Union Brandenburg. In 2005, Gordon Hoffmann was elected as a member of the district executive committee of the CDU Prignitz. From 2007 to 2009 he was deputy district chairman and since January 2007 he has been a member of the state board of the CDU Brandenburg.

In November 2009 Gordon Hoffmann was elected chairman with 91.4 percent of the CDU-Prignitz district members' meeting. When he was re-elected in November 2011, Hoffmann achieved a worse result with 80.32%. In September 2013, Gordon Hoffmann was re-elected as district chairman of the CDU Prignitz for the second time with a result of 100%.

Gordon Hoffmann was elected deputy chairman of the CDU Brandenburg at the 30th state party conference in Schönefeld. With 85% yes-votes, Hoffmann received the best result of the four deputies. Two years later he was re-elected as deputy state chairman with 94%.

On April 27, 2018, the state board of the CDU Brandenburg decided to entrust Gordon Hoffmann with the management of the election campaign headquarters in order to position himself more effectively for the 2019 European and local elections in May and the state elections in September.

At the 35th state party conference of the CDU Brandenburg on November 16, 2019, he was elected Secretary General at the suggestion of the new chairman, Michael Stübgen .

MP

In the local elections in 2008 and 2014, he was elected to the Wittenberge city council. He has been a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament since 2009 . Hoffmann ran in the Prignitz I state electoral district and entered parliament via the state list of the CDU Brandenburg. In the state elections on September 14, 2014, Hoffmann was re-elected to the state parliament via the state list of the CDU Brandenburg. Since 2009 he has been the spokesman for education policy in the CDU parliamentary group and a member of the committee for education, youth and sport. Since April 2018, Hoffmann has also been a full member of the Committee on European Affairs, Development Policy and Consumer Protection.

In the state elections in 2019, he succeeded in re-entering the Brandenburg state parliament.

Social Commitment

Gordon Hoffmann is a member of the victims' association “Weisser Ring”.
