Gordon Smith (ice hockey player)
Gordon Smith (born February 14, 1908 in Winchester , Massachusetts , † October 22, 1999 in Boston , Massachusetts) was an American ice hockey player .
Career
Gordon Smith briefly attended Boston University , for whose ice hockey team he played parallel. However, he spent most of his career in amateur ice hockey at the Boston Hockey Club and the Boston Olympics. Following his ice hockey career, he became an investment advisor in Boston.
International
For the USA , Smith took part in the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He was also in his country's squad for the 1931 World Cup . At the 1932 Winter Games he and his team won the silver medal and the bronze medal at the 1936 Winter Games. At the 1931 World Cup he also won the silver medal with the USA.
