Gordon Watkinson

Gordon Watkinson (born 1964 in Charlottesville , Virginia ) is an American visual artist.

Life

Watkinson graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University . There he attended a photography class at the age of 24, which aroused his interest in photography. After graduating, he worked as a commercial photographer, shooting commercials and videos for companies. In the late 1990s he visited the Bauhaus Dessau, which influenced his understanding of design. He worked as an architecture photographer and exhibited his pictures of important Bauhaus architectures at the international exhibition "Bauhaus twenty - 21". He taught at the National Museum Oslo and the Bauhaus University Weimar , among others .
