Gorzyca (Lubin)

Gorzyca , Górzyca (German Lerchenborn ) is a village in the rural municipality of Lubin in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The village is located in Lower Silesia , about eight kilometers southwest of the city of Lubin ( Lüben ).

history

Village church (Protestant until 1945).

The village of Lerchenborn with its manor district belonged to the district of Lüben in the administrative district of Liegnitz of the Prussian province of Silesia of the German Empire until 1945 .

The manor district was owned by the von Bohlen family as an entails until 1945 .

After the end of World War II , Lerchenborn and the Lüben district together with almost all of Silesia were placed under Polish administration by the Soviet occupying power . Unless the German villagers had fled before the end of the war or had to do forced labor in agriculture after the end of the war, they were subsequently evicted by the local Polish administrative authorities .
