The gmina wiejska Lubin [ ˈlubjin ] is an independent rural community in Poland in the powiat Lubin in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship . Its seat is in the city of Lubin ( German: Lüben ). The rural community, to which the city of Lubin itself does not belong, has an area of ​​290 km², on which (as of June 30, 2019) 16,052 people live.

The rural community is located in Lower Silesia , about 70 km northwest of Wroclaw , 20 km north of Legnica ( Liegnitz ). Its area surrounds the city of Lubin on all sides.

From 1975 to 1998 the rural community was part of the Legnica Voivodeship .
