God's blessing (Stolln)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

God's blessing , at the time also God's sea blessing , was a tunnel and a treasure trove in the Johanngeorgenstadt mountain area in the Saxon Ore Mountains . The mining history has only been incompletely researched and published. Incomplete mine files and a lack of mining registers make things more difficult. Likewise, previously published data on application do not match, are missing or contradict one another.

On the Rabenberg east of Johanngeorgenstadt there is another treasure trove under the name of God's blessing.

Geographical location

The tunnel mouth hole of the god Segen Stolln was on the Breitenbach. The tunnel runs in the Fastenberg in a westerly direction. When Wittigsthalstrasse was built in 1928, the mouth hole area was redesigned and the hat house was demolished.

history

On the middle Fastenberg , on which Johanngeorgenstadt stretches, several pits were operated from the 17th to the 20th century to mine directly adjacent ore veins . This also included the Crucis 1679, muted and posted God's blessing studs at 700 m above sea level . The tunnel was driven on the God's blessing Spat . The God's blessing Spat is the longest ore vein in the Johanngeorgenstadt district and was examined over a length of 1.8 km and, if the ore was routed, also cultivated. Outside the mine field of God's blessing treasure trove and its subsequent dimensions , this ore vein bore different names in its further sweeping through the Fastenberg. Known God's blessing Gegentrum , Marcus Spat , Hohneujahr Spat , and Archangel Gabriel Spat . Outgoing side columns and accompanying parallel columns also had other names (only if they were awarded!). Its thickness is between 25 and 200 cm.

According to Engelschall's chronicle, the first silver breaking took place in the quarter of Trinity 1712. About 5 kg of silver were mined. So far, 10,999 thalers had been built and the tunnel was driven over a length of 600 m. Only in the quarter of Trinity 1714 was the next silver found. The debts had risen to 12,808 thalers by then. Up to 1722, 954.5 kg of silver were mined, the debts that had accrued up to that point were paid off and a yield of 147 thalers per kux was paid.

In 1720 the St. Georg Stolln came in 12 m below the Gottes Segen Stolln at a distance of 470 m from the mouth hole of the Gottes Segen Stolln in the Gottes Segen Spat . From the St. Georg Stolln an art shaft was sunk approx. 124 m in the Gottes Segen Spat and the corridor was examined and built over a length of 790 m over 4 levels under the St. Georg Stolln . As a result, there were common pit fields with the gift of God , New Year Maaßen and St. Georg Stolln .

In 1820 there was a consolidation with the St. Georg Stolln to God's blessing and Georg Fundgrube . By 1820, a total of 6040 kg of silver had been brought out by God's blessing . The first evidence of the extraction of uranium ores in the Johanngeorgenstadt Revier comes from God's blessing Stolln in 1819. It was 30 pounds (approx. 14 kg) for the Meissen porcelain factory.

In the first quarter of Reminiscere 1838 the combined mine field was merged with other mine fields to form the United Field Company in Fastenberge . In the course of the civil engineering project carried out at Vereinigt Feld in 1860, the deepest floor in God's blessing Spat was approached via a 394 m long cross passage on the 78-Lachter floor of the Frisch Glück shaft. In 1923, the excavation of a cross passage on the 95-Lachter-Sole started from the Frisch Glück shaft. Due to financial constraints, the driveway was discontinued in 1926 with a driveway length of 166 m. In August 1929 the work was resumed and in January 1930 after 236 m of God's blessing Spat started. The driveway to the north-west was interrupted at 70.7 m by the flood of July 6, 1931. The exploration work was not resumed until 1936. The aim of the investigation was the uranium mineralization known from the upper levels.

After Wismut AG took over the Johanngeorgenstadt mining area on July 15, 1946, mining began on a previously unknown scale under the name Objects 01 . The blessing of God Spat with its known uranium mineralization has been cultivated intensively over its entire extent. The old art shaft was reconstructed from August 1948 and went into operation as shaft 52 up to shaft management 1.. He was equipped with a ski grant . The daily output was 1500 tons. It was in operation until 1957. The last ore was mined in 1958 and the last shift was run in Johanngeorgenstadt on June 12, 1959.
