Gottfried Anton Schenck
Gottfried Anton Schenck (* 1699 in Wiesbaden ; † 1779 there ) was a German Protestant pastor, chronicler and poet.
He was a son of the Wiesbaden high school student Johannes Schenck . After attending grammar school in Idstein, he worked as a deacon in Mosbach from 1724 to 1729 . In 1729 he became pastor and court preacher in Rödelheim , and in 1731 also church inspector. In 1750 he resigned for health reasons. Until his death he lived as a private citizen in Wiesbaden.
