Gottfried Niedhart

Gottfried Niedhart (born August 22, 1940 in Görlitz ) is a German professor emeritus for modern history and author.

Life

Gottfried Niedhart received his doctorate in 1969 from the University of Mannheim with a dissertation on Great Britain and the Soviet Union. 1934-1939. Studies on British peacekeeping policy between the two world wars . In 1976 he also completed his habilitation at the University of Mannheim with a study of British world politics in the 18th century. He later taught and researched there as a professor of modern history. His focus is the history of Great Britain and the history of international relations in the 20th century.
