Gottfried Pott
Gottfried Pott (* 1939 in Oberlahnstein ) is a German typographer , calligrapher , author and teacher.
From 1959 to 1963 he studied graphic design at the Werkkunstschule Wiesbaden under Friedrich Poppl . From 1988 to 2003 he taught as a professor for calligraphy , font design and font history at the Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences .
His most famous fonts are Arioso, Carolina, Duc de Berry, and Ruling Script.
