Gotthold Haekel

Matthias Wilhelm Gotthold Haekel (born April 8, 1876 in Insterburg , † September 12, 1945 in Berlin-Lichterfelde ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born in Insterburg, studied Haekel law and was founded in 1919 with the thesis The liability of the shipowner in the collision of ships and Article 7 EC HGB at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster doctorate . During his studies he became a member of the Association of German Students in Königsberg .

From 1920 to 1933 Haekel was a member of the VRWiR , representative of the consumer community and still in 1935 executive president of the Reichsstädtebund e. V.

His further life is not known. Shortly after the end of World War II , he died of dysentery in Berlin .
