Gottlieb Julius von Pelchrzim

Gottlieb Julius von Pelchrzim and Trzankowitz (born January 11, 1717 at Gut Goldmannsdorf, Pleß district , Upper Silesia ; † November 22, 1788 in Berlin ) was a royal Prussian major general .

Life

He came from an old Silesian noble family and was the son of Julius Emmerich von Pelchrzim (1679–1749), landlord on Goldmannsdorf, and Anna Sidonie von Neefe. Pelchrzim married on May 2, 1771 Wroclaw Johanna Juliane Prittwitz and Gaffron (* September 4, 1736 at Gut Reinersdorf , † August 8, 1802 in Berlin), the daughter of Karl Christian Prittwitz and Gaffron, squire to Sbitschin at large Wartenberg and Susanna Juliane Freiin von Kottulinsky (Haus Reinersdorf ). His great-great-nephew (grandson of his brother) was the military writer Theodor von Pelchrzim .

Pelchrzim began his military career in the Prussian Cadet Corps in the Cadet House in Berlin. In 1778 he was promoted to colonel and appointed general manager of all field hospitals . In 1779 he became chief and in command of the Invaliden Corps and the royal Invalidenhaus in Berlin . In the year of his death in 1788, he was finally promoted to major general.
