Theodor of Pelchrzim

Theodor Franz Karl Rudolf von Pelchrzim , actually from Pelchrzim and Trzenkowitz , pseudonym : PL Chr.Zim (born October 9, 1816 in Kieferstädtel , Tost-Gleiwitz district , province of Silesia ; † January 15, 1892 in Berlin ) was a royal Prussian major and Writer.

Life

He came from an old Silesian noble family and was the son of Ludwig von Pelchrzim and Trzenkowitz (1787–1874), Mayor of Sohrau and royal Prussian cavalry master , and his first wife Elisabeth von Fragstein and Niemsdorff (1792–1842). His great-uncle (brother of his grandfather) was the royal Prussian major general Gottlieb Julius von Pelchrzim (1717–1788).

Pelchrzim married on May 10, 1848 on Gut Hohen-Bellin (now part of Wulkow , district of Jerichower Land ) Alma von Gauvain (born March 26, 1819 on Gut Hohen-Bellin; † May 1, 1877 in Schweidnitz ).

After completing his active military service, u. a. in the infantry regiment "Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia" (2nd Magdeburgisches) No. 27 , he wrote books on military history and also wrote on physical and astrophysical topics, on which he also gave lectures.

In 1860 Pelchrzim was a member of the Teutonia Masonic Lodge for Wisdom in Potsdam.
