Gottlob Kralik Ritter von Meyrswalden (born October 22, 1878 in Eleonorenhain ; † April 6, 1964 in Heilbronn ) was a Bohemian-German glass manufacturer from the Bohemian glassmaker dynasty Kralik von Meyrswalden .

biography

Gottlob Kralik von Meyrswalden was the son of the glass manufacturer Heinrich Kralik von Meyrswalden and grandson of Wilhelm Kralik von Meyrswalden . He married Klara Welz on September 7, 1903 (* May 30, 1880 in monastery grave near Teplitz ; † January 30, 1949 ( suicide ) in Fürstenberg (Oder) ).

Gottlob Kralik von Meyrswalden moved with his family to Fürstenberg (Oder) in 1910 and ran a glassworks there that specialized in lighting glass. With him, many Bohemian glassmakers also moved to Fürstenberg. With the production of Bohemian glass on German soil, the customs barriers of that time between Austria and Germany could be overcome. The articles were distributed worldwide. From various oral traditions of old glassmakers, the chandelier of the White House in Washington is said to come from the above-mentioned glassworks.
