Johann Böhm (* 18th October 1937 in Daßnitz , Czechoslovakia ) is a German CSU - politicians . Boehm was 1994-2003 Bavarian State Parliament and from 1974 to 2003 a member of the Bavarian parliament .

Life

After attending elementary school in Daßnitz and Wülfershausen near Arnstein , he attended the Wirsberg Gymnasium in Würzburg from 1949 to 1958 and then did the one-year basic military service in the Bundeswehr . From 1959 to 1963 he studied law and political science at the University of Würzburg . This was followed by practical training as a trainee lawyer in Würzburg and Munich from 1963 to 1967 . After the Grand State Examination in Law, he entered the civil service in the government of Lower Franconia . From 1969 to 1973 he worked as a legal civil servant at the district office in Bad Neustadt . In August 1973 he returned to the government of Lower Franconia . In addition to his professional activity, he volunteered in youth work and held the office of chairman of the Rhön-Grabfeld district youth association . He was also a member of the board of the District Youth Association of Lower Franconia. Since May 1978 he was also a member of the district council. From October 1990 to June 1993 he was State Secretary and Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery under Prime Minister Max Streibl . From June 1993 to October 1994 he was State Secretary in the Bavarian State Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Bavarian Representative at the Federal Government. From 1994 until he left the Bavarian State Parliament in 2003, he was President of the Bavarian State Parliament. From March 2000 to February 2008 he was also the spokesman for the Sudeten German ethnic group , and since 2007 he has also been the chairman of the Sudeten German Foundation. Böhm also works as honorary chairman of the board of the Bavarian State Association for Homeland Care .

He is Roman Catholic, married and has three children. Since 1999 he has been an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDStV Markomannia Würzburg in the CV . He is also an advisory board member in the Bayernbund .
