The Gottschläge-Karlsruher Grat nature reserve is located on the Karlsruher Grat rock massif in the area of ​​the Baden-Württemberg community of Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest .

Characteristics

The area was designated as a nature reserve by ordinance of the Freiburg Regional Council of December 11, 1975 and has a size of 151.0 hectares. It is listed under the protected area number 3.090. The CDDA code for the nature reserve is 81742 and corresponds to the WDPA ID .

The protected area is located around 1.5 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest. It is located in the natural area 152 - Northern Black Forest valley within the natural spatial main unit 15 - Black Forest .

In the west, the NSG borders on the 520 hectare nature reserve Schliffkopf . It is also completely located both in the 4955 hectare FFH area No. 7415-341 Wilder See - Hornisgrinde , as well as in the bird sanctuary (SPA area) No. 7415-441 Northern Black Forest .

Protection purpose

The protective purpose is the preservation of the Gottschläge valley with the Edelfrauengrab scouring cave as a very scenic area on the western slope of the Vogelskopf and Milkereikopf as well as the Karlsruhe ridge (Eichhaldenfirst) as one of the wildest rock areas in the northern Black Forest with an interesting, e.g. Sometimes small-area vegetation mosaic on the rock walls.
