The Grüneck (on historical maps Grüneck Berg) is a 1395 m high mountain in the Tegernsee Mountains . The mountain is in the district of Kreuth between Leonhardstein and Weißachtal.
The elongated summit ridge can only be reached without a path, but offers direct views of the southern flank of the Leonhardstein . The easiest approach is via the saddle between Leonhardstein and Grüneck, which can be reached via the Schwarzenbach valley as a mountain hike. From there, a trail runs west around the mountain at about the same height. In order to reach the summit ridge, you have to leave it and the further approx. 200 meters in altitude are pathless.
