Gracie Allen
Gracie Allen (* 26. July 1895 in San Francisco , California as Grace Ethel Cecile Rosalie Allen ; † 27. August 1964 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California) was an American actress .
life and career
After training to be a secretary, a friend persuaded her to try her hand at acting in New Jersey . In 1922 she made her first appearances at the Hillstreet Theater in Newark , New Jersey, where she met the actor George Burns . The two married on January 7, 1926.
Together Gracie Allen and George Burns shot a total of 25 comedies between 1929 and 1942 and were stars of their own sketch show from 1950 to 1958 called "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show". They also hosted a successful radio show from 1934 to 1950.
Gracie Allen and George Burns adopted two children. Her adopted son, Ronnie Burns, starred in some of the couple's films.
Gracie Allen died on August 27, 1964 of complications from a heart attack.

- For a long time, the exact date of birth of the actress was unknown, as her birth certificate was destroyed in the great earthquake in California in 1906.
