Gracie Otto (born May 23, 1987 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress , producer and director .

Life

Gracie Otto was born in Sydney to the actor Barry Otto and his wife Lindsay. Her sister, who is almost twenty years older than her, is the internationally known actress Miranda Otto . Between 2003 and 2004, she attended a high school film production course. She then graduated from the Sydney Film School in 2005 and 2006 , from which she graduated. Gracie Otto directed four short films, Kill Blondes, Broken Beat, Tango Trois and La Même Nuit , all of which received critical acclaim at Australian and international festivals. She made her debut as an actress in a leading role in the 2008 award-winning film Three Blind Mice . Gracie Otto is currently working with producer Lisa Shaughnessy on the film Rue de Tournon , her first major film project as a director and screenwriter.

Gracie Otto engages in sports in her private life. So she represented Australia and New South Wales in indoor soccer at tournaments in New Zealand, Greece and Canada. In softball , Gracie Otto represented her home state New South Wales at the 2004 Australian Championships. Her participation in the lesbian- dominated women's soccer club "Sydney City" earned her the reputation of being a lesbian. Otto denied such reports. Gracie Otto was in a relationship with fellow Australian actor and director Matthew Newton .
