Career

Gorham made his international debut for the 2001/02 season as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . At just 14 years of age, he immediately achieved three points and thus ranked 264 in the overall ranking. Also in September he reached the points in the mat jumping on his home hill in Calgary. In the winter season 2002/03 he did not get any points. In all competitions he took part in, he jumped behind the world's best. It was not until the summer of 2003 that he managed to win Continental Cup points again in Calgary.

After he did not take part in the winter of 2003/04, he came back to the Continental Cup over two FIS competitions in Park City . For the 2004/05 season he also appeared outside of North America in jumping in the Continental Cup. However, he did not succeed in asserting himself and only ended up in the rear.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2005 in Rovaniemi , Gorham jumped to 33rd place in the individual, after he had already reached seventh place with the team in the team event. In August 2005 he started for the first time in the Ski Jumping Grand Prix as part of the Canadian team at the team competition in Hinterzarten . He was twelfth with the team. In October 2005 Gorham succeeded in jumping on mats in Park City and Lake Placid again in the points. At the beginning of the 2005/06 winter season, however, he again showed his weakness on snow.

At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , when he was now 18, he jumped to 42nd place on the normal hill and 50th place on the large hill. Together with Gregory Baxter , Stefan Read and Michael Nell , he reached 15th place in the team competition. A year later he competed in his last international competition to date at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo . With the team he reached rank 12.
