The county of Ismaning , also known as the county on the Yserrain , was part of the Hochstift Freising , the secular domain of the Prince-Bishop of Freising.

location

Ismaning County was a narrow strip of land on the eastern bank of the Isar . It reached from Ismaning in the north to Oberföhring and Daglfing in the south.

history

The county of Ismaning was founded in 1319 when the later Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian , who was also Duke of Bavaria, gave the places Ismaning , Unterföhring , Oberföhring , Englschalking and Daglfing to Bishop Konrad III. sold by Freising. These villages formed the county of Ismaning as a court on the Yserrain . The respective Freising nurse exercised unrestricted maleficence jurisdiction ( blood jurisdiction ).

With the dissolution of the Hochstift Freising in the secularization of 1803, the county of Ismaning also ceased to exist. The places in it soon became independent political communities.

The 700th anniversary of the founding was honored in 2019 with a traveling exhibition.
