Graham Masterton (born January 16, 1946 in Edinburgh ) is a British author of horror literature .

Life

After training as a newspaper reporter, Masterton became an editor at Penthouse magazine at the age of 24 . It was around this time that he began writing a number of bestselling sex guides, including How to drive your man wild in bed , which sold over three million copies worldwide.

He has also written for magazines such as Cosmopolitan , Men's Health , Woman, and Woman's Own .

Masterton's successful career as a horror writer began in 1976 with The Manitou , a story about an ancient Native American medicine man who is reborn in our day to take revenge on the "White Man". The book became a bestseller and was made into a film with Tony Curtis , Susan Strasberg , Burgess Meredith , Michael Ansara , Stella Stevens and Ann Sothern .

Works

Graham Masterton wrote more than a hundred novels, in addition to horror novels, thrillers, disaster novels, historical novels and children's books.

  • Feelings of Fear

A biography and bibliography, Manitou Man , was published by the British Fantasy Society in 1999.
