Stella Stevens ; actually Estelle Caro Eggleston (born October 1, 1938 in Yazoo City , Mississippi ), is an American actress and former model .
life and career
Stella Stevens was born in Yazoo City (sometimes called Hot Coffee , Mississippi) as Estelle Caro Eggleston . She was discovered as an actress while working as a model in Memphis and received a contract with 20th Century Fox . Several small and medium-sized roles in television and film productions followed, until a Playboy appearance as Playmate of the Month in January 1960 helped her to numerous film offers.
In doing so, she was usually set to the type of the sex-oriented blonde, as in the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde - parody The Mad Professor by Jerry Lewis and in the disaster film The Poseidon Descent into Hell . She also demonstrated her acting talent in the horror thriller The House of Bloody Hands alongside Shelley Winters .
