Grain Belt
The Grain Belt ( grain belt ), more rarely Wheat Belt called, is an area in the north of the United States , where most of the wheat of the United States is grown. The Corn Belt, which is largely congruent with it, is characterized by maize cultivation .
The Grain Belt covers large parts of the states of Ohio , Indiana , Illinois , Missouri , Iowa and smaller parts of the states of Wisconsin , Minnesota , Nebraska, and Kansas .
