history

The village of Grammelkam was first mentioned in 820 as Grimboldesheim (home of Grimbald). In 1285 Konrad von Türkenfeld gave two farms in Grammelkam to the Teutonic Order . In 1287 he expanded his foundation. In 1290 a relative of Konrad's, Wolfher der Leitner von Moosburg, sold the Zagelhof in Grammelkam to the German House of Gangkofen and set the interest payments to be made to his mother for 13 years. Grammelkam thus belonged to the German Order of Gangkofen . In 1315, the parish church of St. Peter with a cemetery was recorded for the first time by the diocese administration on Freising Cathedral Hill. In 1752 Grammelkam consisted of three properties.

When the community was formed in 1818/1821, Grammelkam became a part of the community of Niederkam in the Landshut district court. On January 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, it came together with the community of Niederkam to form the new community of Kumhausen (the new main town also being on Grammelkamer parish and Niederkam old community area). In 1987 Grammelkam had 62 residents.
