Nicolae Calancea (born August 29, 1986 in Chișinău , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Moldovan football player . He has been under contract with CS Universitatea Craiova since summer 2016 .

Career

society

Calancea's career began at Zimbru Chișinău , where he joined the first team squad in 2006. There he immediately became a regular and was runner-up behind Sheriff Tiraspol in the 2006/07 season and won the Moldovan Cup . Calancea played seven and a half years for Zimbru - interrupted by half a year for Krylja Sowetow Samara . In February 2014 he left the club and moved to Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț in the Romanian League 1 . There he was mostly number one on the team. At the end of the 2014/15 season he was relegated with his team. In Liga II , he only played the first five games before his contract was terminated in November 2015. At the beginning of 2016, the first division club FC Voluntari signed him . There he first conquered the space between the posts, but lost it to his competitor Mircea Bornescu in the course of the 2015/16 relegation round . Calancea joined CS Universitatea Craiova in summer 2016 .

National team

Calancea was first appointed to the Moldovan national team in February 2007 . He made his debut in a friendly against Romania on February 7 . In the qualifying games for the 2008 European Championships and the 2010 World Cup , he was a total of six times in goal and acted in the other games as a substitute behind Serghei Paşcenco or Stanislav Namaşco . He then had to wait more than two years before being reappointed in early 2011. He appeared in three friendly matches and had to wait until 2014 to be nominated again. Since then it has been used sporadically.
