The Grand Lake ( Montagnais name: Kakatshu-utshishtun ) is a lake in the sub-province of Labrador, which belongs to the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .
Grand Lake is located 30 km north of Happy Valley-Goose Bay in the central east of the Labrador Peninsula . It lies at a height of about 10 m and has a water surface of 182 km². It is fed by the Naskaupi River , Beaver River , Susan River and Cape Caribou River . The North West River drains the lake via Little Lake to Lake Melville . The catchment area covers around 14,500 km².
