Granius

Granius is the gentile name of a plebeian family of the late Roman Republic and early Imperial times. It occurred particularly in the late 2nd and 1st centuries BC. In Puteoli , where a number of Granii tombstones have been preserved. Inscriptions from the early 1st century BC were also found on Delos . Living Granii found. Some members are known as respected merchants; some rose to the rank of senator at the time of the republic and to high military posts and administrative offices in the Roman provinces during the imperial period.
