Sulking was a German metal band from Munich . The word "grumpy" (as Grantigkeit, Grantler ) comes from the Bairischen and means something like "bad mood", "displeased" or "annoying".
history
The band was formed in 2004. After the first appearances in and around Munich, the first demo CD was recorded at the end of 2005. Further appearances followed, among other things as support for Schweisser , and the second demo CD with which the band finally managed to sign a record deal with Drakkar Records in August 2007 . In the following months, the debut album So muss es sein, was written, recorded and released on February 1, 2008. The second album Medicine followed on May 1, 2009 . In January 2010 the band announced that Jonathan Schmid had been replaced as singer by his brother Vinzenz Schmid. A few months later Alex Negret and Jonas Windwehr left the band. They were replaced by Florian Albrecht and Oliver Diller. On May 31, 2011, the band announced their breakup.
style
Musically, Grantig are based on bands from the southern United States, such as B. Pantera , Down or Corrosion of Conformity and create a mixture of Thrash Metal and Hardcore with influences of Southern Rock . The texts are in German .
