Graziano Gasparre

Graziano Gasparre (born June 27, 1978 in Codogno ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Graziano Gasparre became European champion in road racing in the U23 class in 2000 . He also won the overall classification of the Giro delle Regioni and the Ronde de l'Isard d'Ariège . In 2001 he became a professional at Mapei-Quick Step , where he won a stage of the Tour de l'Avenir . The next year he was successful on part of the Circuit des Mines . In 2003 Gasparre moved to De Nardi , where he took part in the Giro d'Italia and was among the top ten in a stage five times. In the 2004 season he won a stage at the Settimana Internazionale . From 2006 to 2009 Gasparre drove for the Polish Continental Team Amore & Vita-McDonald’s . In his first year there he won part of the Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda and came third overall.

In November 2012, Gasparre had to undergo tumor surgery. He is said to have attributed this illness to his former sporting director at Team Amore e Vita , Ivano Fanini , to doping use during his career as a cyclist.
