Graziella Drößler

Graziella Drößler (born April 6, 1953 in Niedermarsberg ) is a German painter .

Graziella Drößler studied from 1973 to 1981 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Lambert Maria Wintersberger , Rolf Sackenheim and Erwin Heerich , who supervised her as a master class student. In 1981 she moved to Wuppertal , where she works as a freelance artist to this day. In that year she also took on a teaching position at the University of Dortmund . After a working visit to the Soviet Union in 1987, she taught at the University of Witten / Herdecke in 1988/1989 . In 1990 a visiting professorship at the Bremen University of the Arts followed , which was followed by a teaching position at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in 1992/93 .

Together with her husband, the draftsman Wolfgang Schmitz , she has been involved in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad since the 1980s. In 1985 she received the sponsorship award of the Von der Heydt Culture Prize of the city of Wuppertal.
