Greatest Hits is the first compilation album by singer and songwriter Cat Stevens .

history

Cat Stevens' tenth album was released in June 1975 and was his first compilation album. The title Greatest Hits is incorrect as the single hits that were released on the Deram Records label and Lady D'Arbanville are not included. Furthermore, Hard Headed Woman was not a single and Father & Son was just the B-side of Moonshadow .

As an incentive to buy, there are two tracks on the album that were otherwise only released as singles ( Two Fine People and Another Saturday Night ). The LP was commercially successful (USA: 6th place; UK 2nd place; Germany: 6th place).

The album was re-released in 2000 in a version remastered by Ted Jensen.
