Greenville Valley

The Greenville Valley is a large and mostly ice-free valley in the Convoy Range south of the Elkhorn Ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . A short side tongue of the Northwind Glacier flows west to the entrance of the valley. At the head end there is a breakthrough to the neighboring Merrell Valley .

The New Zealand Northern Group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) explored the valley in 1957 and named it after the USNS Greenville Victory , a cargo ship of the US associations in McMurdo Sound from 1956 to 1957.
