Greg Davis (born July 26, 1979 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . His professional ice hockey career spanned the years 2001 to 2006. His playing position was that of the winger in attack.

life and career

Davis played junior ice hockey in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the "Grizzlies" from Olds before attending McGill University in Montreal . There he played for two seasons, from 1999 to 2001, hockey in the Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union (CIAU) with the "McGill Redmen". He made 38 goals and provided 39 assists, and scored 68 points in a total of 48 penalty minutes in 48 completed games.

On May 5, 2001 Davis was signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues , a club of the North American National Hockey League (NHL). He played professional ice hockey for five seasons, including 111 games in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Worcester IceCats . Davis ended his professional ice hockey career after the 2005/06 season, which he had played with the Cristal de Saint-Hyacinthe ; the ice hockey team belonging to the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH) disbanded in 2009.
