Gregor Günther (born March 12, 1978 in Bregenz ) is a former Austrian handball player .

Career

Gregor Günther studied operational process and project management at a technical college in Dornbirn after high school and the HAK college . He then worked at Hypo Landesbank Vorarlberg.

Gregor Günther played from 1991 to 2008 at A1 Bregenz on the backcourt position and was part of the Austrian national handball team , for which he played 44 international matches. In 2008 he moved to the second team at A1 Bregenz, but was also used for the first team. It was also set up again for the 2010 European Handball Championship .

With Bregenz he was Austrian champion eight times and won the ÖHB Cup four times . He played with the Austrians in the EHF Champions League (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) and in the European Cup Winners' Cup (2001, 2004).

His two brothers Philipp Günther and Matthias Günther also play handball at A1 Bregenz.
