Philipp Günther (born March 20, 1982 in Bregenz ) is a former handball player from Austria .

Career

Philipp Günther was used in the left wing position. He was under contract with A1 Bregenz .

For the Austrian national team , he played eight international matches until December 2010 , in which he scored two goals.

He was in the extended squad for the 2011 World Cup and ended his career after the 2012/2013 season for health reasons.

His two brothers Matthias (* 1976) and Gregor (* 1978) were also active as handball players at A1 Bregenz.
