Gregor Grillemeier (born February 17, 1959 in Duisburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The striker , who comes from the youth department of KBC Duisburg , played between 1978 and 1991 for MSV Duisburg , Rot-Weiss Essen , Arminia Bielefeld , Hertha BSC , Hannover 96 and the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga . He scored 35 goals in 149 games in the Bundesliga and 59 times in 147 games in the second division.

After his active career, Grillemeier worked as a trainer. In Duisburg, where he owns a sports shop, he looked after the national league clubs Viktoria Buchholz , FCR Duisburg and Alfa SV Duisburg . From 2002 to 2010 he was employed by VfvB Ruhrort-Laar . In 2012 he last coached the national division FSV Duisburg .

family

His father Gregor Grillemeier senior, who died in 2013, was also a football coach and responsible for building up the women's team at KBC Duisburg. He is considered to be the discoverer of Martina Voss .
