Gregorian chant pop

The term Gregorian Pop as a name for a musical genre was created in the early 1990s. Gregorian chant is a sub-genre of the New Age that emerged in the late 1970s and uses elements of Gregorian chant .

The album MCMXC aD by the new age group Enigma , which with the single Sadness Pt. 1 had international success. At the end of the 1990s, the producer team Peterson, Kohrs, Heusmann released the album Masters of Chant by the group Gregorian .
