Semolina porridge (also semolina cook ) is a porridge made from semolina (soft wheat semolina ) , which is prepared with milk , lightly salted milk or a mixture of milk and water. Semolina is usually served with sugar , cocoa powder , cinnamon , raisins , fruit , compote , applesauce or fruit syrup . Optionally, by adding more semolina, a firmer porridge can be produced, from which semolina is fried in the pan .

Semolina is also offered as an industrial finished and semi-finished product, often with cream , vanilla , fruits, spice mixtures or flavors added. Some of these products still have to be prepared either with milk or just with water. With the latter variant, milk powder is one of the ingredients of the finished product.
