Grigore Răduică

Grigore Răduică (born August 22, 1926 in Băluța , Ponoarele , Mehedinți district ; † 2002 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian lieutenant general of the armed forces ( Armata Română ) as well as a politician of the Romanian Communist Party PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) , who, among other things, between 1968 and 1974 First Vice Minister for Home Affairs and first Vice President of the Council for State Security.

Life

Răduică attended primary school from 1933 to 1940 and then trained as a lathe operator between September 1941 and 1945 at Instalația Mecanică in Bucharest . In October 1944 he joined the Uniunea Tineretului Comunist (UTC), the youth association of the Romanian Communist Party PCdR (Partidul Comunist din România) , and between 1944 and August 15, 1946 was UTC secretary of the Instalația Mecanică company and a member of the Offices of the local party committee. He worked as a lathe operator in this company until August 15, 1946 and joined the PCdR as a member in January 1946. Between August 15, 1946 and 1948 he was education officer of the party committee in Bucharest sector 3 and then attended the party school in Bucharest in 1948, where he subsequently worked for a short time as a lecturer.

In October 1948 Răduică became a lieutenant in the education department of the political main department DSPA (Direcția Superioară Politică a Armatei) of the armed forces ( Armata Română ) and was then used between 1949 and 1950 as a seminar leader and party instructor at the school of the military police in Breaza . After he was secretary and president of a sub-commission for the evaluation of party members at the military academy and military school in 1950, he was chief of the political department of the 1st Army Corps between May 1950 and 1953 and deputy chief of the political administration of military region 2. He then served from 1953 to February 1958 as head of the political administration of the military region 2 and during this time from 1953 to 1954 also attended an academic course at the General Military Academy (Academia Militară Generală) . He was a member of the Military Council of Military Region 2 between February 1958 and October 1959 and then completed a general staff course at the General Military Academy from October 1959 to 1962.

On February 7, 1963 Colonel Răduică was an instructor of a cadre group of the Central Committee (ZK) to control the party work in the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of the Interior. This was followed by a position as head of a collective in the Ministry of National Defense, before he was from April 1964 to 1965 deputy head of the Central Committee department for the control of work in the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Interior and the judiciary. On August 10, 1964, he was promoted to major general and between 1965 and June 13, 1968, he served as head of the Central Committee Department for the Control of Work in the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Interior and the Justice. He then served from June 13, 1968 to November 23, 1974 as First Vice Minister for Interior and in personal union as First Vice President of the Council for State Security. He became a member of the Central Committee of the PCR at the 10th Congress of the PCR (October 6 to 12, 1969) and was a member of this body until November 28, 1974. In 1969 he also became a member of the Grand National Assembly (Marea Adunare Națională), where he represented constituency no. 2 Dorohoi until 1975 .

Răduică, who was promoted to lieutenant general in September 1973 , was between November 23, 1974 and February 21, 1977 deputy head of the Central Committee department for the party budget. At the Eleventh Party Congress of the PCR (November 24 to 27, 1974) he was only a candidate for the Central Committee and held this position until November 23, 1979. On April 6, 1977 he retired from active military service and was placed in the reserve offset.
