Grigori Romanowitsch Ginsburg
Grigory Romanovich Ginsburg ( Russian Григорий Романович Гинзбург * 16 . Jul / 29. May 1904 greg. In Nizhny Novgorod , † 5. December 1961 in Moscow ) was a Russian pianist .
Ginsburg studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Alexander Borissowitsch Goldenweiser and taught there from 1928 to 1959. He trained several outstanding pianists, including Gleb B. Axelrod and Alexander A. Nikolajew. From 1922 he worked as a concert pianist. In 1927 he was a prize winner of the Warsaw Chopin Competition .
