Grindsted is a Danish city ​​in the region of Southern Denmark . Grindsted has 9,782 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). The Grindsted Å flows through Grindsted . Cities in the area are Sønder Omme and Billund .

Grindsted has been part of Billund Municipality since the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 . Before that, it was the center of the Grindsted municipality of the same name in what was then the Ribe Office .

Grindsted had a train station on Jydske Diagonalbane until May 31, 2012 , which opened on December 1, 1916. In 1971 passenger traffic was discontinued, but goods traffic and trains from museum railways remained. This ended in May 2012.
