Grischa barefoot

Grischa Barfuss (actually Hermann Barfuss, born March 1, 1917 in Wilna , Lithuania , † November 28, 1995 in Düsseldorf ) was a German writer and theater director .

Life

Barfuss was born in Vilnius in 1917. He initially worked as a theater and music critic and was acting director at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus for two years , then (1958 to 1964) director of the Wuppertal theaters . From 1964 to 1986 he was general manager of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein .
