Groß Schwansee is a district of the municipality Kalkhorst in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Geography and transport links

Groß Schwansee is located northwest of the core town of Kalkhorst on county road K 11. The distance to the Baltic Sea is about 500 m in a northwest direction. Northeast of the town extends the 51 ha large nature reserve Brooker Forest , southwest it is the 580-hectare nature reserve coastline between Priwall and Barendorf with Harkenbäkniederung .
