Groß Spiegelberg is a district of the municipality Jatznick in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Geographical location

The place is southwest of the community center. To the north is the Brohmer Berge forest area ; northwest of the further district of Waldeshöhe . To the southeast is the municipality of Schönwalde , to the south the other Jatznick districts of Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow to the west. In the west is the Michaelssee .

history

Little has been known about the settlement of the place. It is certain that craftsmen built a village church in the village in the 15th or 16th century . A manor house was built in the 18th century and two extensions were added around 1801. Around 1896 the place was owned by the Glantz family, who sold it to the von Winterfeldt family at the beginning of the 20th century . They also held the church patronage and added a crypt to the church . After the end of the Second World War , the house was used for residential purposes and was renovated at the beginning of the 21st century.

• The church Groß Spiegelberg was built in the 15th and 16th. Century made of field stones , which were then plastered . In the 18th century, craftsmen renewed the south wall. In the interior there is, among other things, a pulpit from this period.
