Klein Luckow is a district of the municipality Jatznick in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in the east of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

geography

Klein Luckow is located on the southern edge of the northern ridge , a terminal moraine that extends about 25 kilometers in a west-east direction ( Schanzenberg 125 m above sea level 3 km west of Klein Luckow); The Brohmer Mountains connect to this ridge and the Ueckermünder Heide in the northwest . The district of Klein Luckows borders on the northern tip of the state of Brandenburg . The distances to the former district towns are 14 kilometers to Pasewalk and 10 kilometers to Strasburg (Uckermark) .

The district of Groß Spiegelberg belonged to the former community of Klein Luckow. About 1.5 kilometers south is the 0.3 hectare Katzensee.

history

On July 25, 1952 Klein Luckow, together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 Prussian district Prenzlau removed and the district Pasewalk in Neubrandenburg assigned.

On January 1, 2012, the formerly independent communities of Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow were incorporated into Jatznick.

Worth seeing

  • Village church: Early Gothic stone building, east gable as a facing gable with little brick in the arches of the facing, windows of the side walls renewed later, wooden church tower above the west gable
  • Klein Luckow manor; a two-storey, ten-axis building with a hipped roof and a basement level clad in field stones.

Transport links

Klein Luckow can be reached via the Baltic Sea autobahn ( A 20 ) via the Strasburg or Pasewalk-Nord junctions , and there is a railway connection in the neighboring village of Blumenhagen.
