Blumenhagen is a district of the municipality Jatznick in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in the east of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany).

geography

Blumenhagen is located on the southern slope of a terminal moraine between the cities of Strasburg (Uckermark) and Pasewalk , directly on the state border with Brandenburg . The 0.1 hectare Zöllnerbruch is located 1.5 kilometers northwest of Blumenhagen.

history

The old village of Blumenhagen was first mentioned in a document in Charles IV's land register from 1375.

On July 25, 1952, Blumenhagen was detached from the Brandenburg district of Prenzlau , which was Prussian until 1945 , and assigned to the Pasewalk district in the Neubrandenburg district .

On January 1, 2012, the formerly independent communities of Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow were incorporated into Jatznick.

Transport links

The Baltic Sea motorway ( A 20 ) runs two kilometers south of Blumenhagen ; the next junction is Pasewalk-Ost . The Bützow – Szczecin railway also runs through the village .
